Nüshu is a syllabic script created and used exclusively by women from the Yao ethnic tribe in Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, China. Historically, Nüshu not only appeared in written form but also appeared on practical items such as cloth and fans. It has decorative properties. To preserve and celebrate the unique cultural heritage, I intend to infuse Nüshu's historical script into contemporary accessories.
Beyond fashion, these accessories become vehicles of cultural exchange, fostering unity among diverse audiences. In embracing tradition while embracing modernity, my intention and its significance converge to offer an enriching cultural journey, promoting heritage, education, empowerment, and interconnection. The story of Nüshu continues.
